why can’t i put adsense on Google Sites? It worked fine in Page Creator?

Is this why they are converting to google sites, so adsense can’t be used?

It is true that AdSense cannot be used on Google Sites but this is because as Google puts it these are “ad-supported user accounts”. In other words they want to put the ads (like gmail).
