Replace NVU (no longer supported) with updated version called KompoZer ( ).

Have you tried highlighting the text and using the color tools. You may have to highlight the text, right-click and choose Properties to set text attributes.

Sometimes Nvu (and even Komposer will do this). #1 you can save and close Nvu, then start it back up again and try again. #2 or try to highlight the text, then rt click and choose remove all text styles, and try again to choose color. #3 go into html and remove the part that is messed up, and try again. And you should try Komposer.
