well I red on the history once said soccer was invented by the British in 1890Th in Genova Italy they where some British there working on the ship yard and on lunch time they where plain soccer with a boll made by a socks filled up with straw.so in 1894 Samdoria formed the first soccer team in the world one year later was Vercelli from Italy forming another team and in 1898 uventus was born in 1905 Italy had the first National team but no other Nations to play until 1915 but like I said I red one story maybe some one also red another but for sure every one said soccer was invented by the British.

The british invented it in the 1800s and standardized it, but games like it have been played throughout history.
